Reds 2, Expos 0
We get a late start out of Atlanta, 2 pm. We stopped in Knoxville to watch the Belmont. Pleasant Colony’s bid for the Triple Crown falls short. We arrive in Cincinnati at 11 pm and go to the bus station to pick up Lebeau’s luggage. We they go to Carm’s high school friend and wife Mark and Debbie Miller to crash.
Once again we got free tickets and field access. We present Ray Knight with the Hemophilia Certificate. We got to ride on an elevator with Expos announcer, Duke Snider. It was Cap day and much to Marc’s chagrin, being a Dodger fan, he had to wear a Reds cap.
We saw by far the best pitching performance of the trip. The Reds Bruce Berenyi pitched a complete game one hit shutout with 10 strikeouts to improve to 5-2 on the season. Beers were $1 for a 12 ounce Strohs. Game time was a crisp 1:57.
