Join us on Saturday July,13 at Scott Carpenter Field in Boulder,CO for a chapter get-together to watch the Boulder Collegians take on the Elite Baseball club in a doubleheader.
First pitch is scheduled for 4:00pm but we encourage you to arrive at least 30 minutes before to locate the field, park, get settled at the seating area and connect with other members.
Scott Carpenter Field is located off the southeast corner of Arapahoe Avenue and 29th Street.
Parking is free. There is a small lot available next to the field, and street parking in the immediate neighborhood. Admission is free.
There is a limited amount of bleacher seating, so you’re encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, which will probably be more comfortable.
There will be a chapter banner that we’ll try to hang at the top of the third base side bleacher, the Collegians’ side. SABR members and guests will have an orientation as to where their fellow SABRs are seated and can connect and mingle better.
There will be hot dogs, chips, and soft drinks available for purchase, as well as beer.
After the conclusion of the nightcap, SABR members are encouraged to join us at BJ’s, just a couple of short blocks away from the field. People can eat, drink, discuss and mingle with others in a casual setting. Although we will be in an open room restaurant, We will give BJ’s a head’s up that a group will be coming around 8:00 – 8:30 pm, so we can get adequate seating together.
