Since becoming a SABR member in 2015, Chris became a member of the Rocky
Mountain SABR board in 2022. Chris is one of a few hearty members from Colorado Springs
making the regular 80-mile trek up I-25 for the monthly chapter meetings in Denver.
A lifelong baseball fan, Chris grew up watching the Kansas City Royals in the 1970’s
with George Brett, Frank White, Hal McRae, and Amos Otis. Chris has been involved in
different aspects with the former Colorado Springs Sky Sox Triple-A ball club since 1992, now
more in a consultant role, as a team historian for Colorado Springs minor league baseball, with
the independent Rocky Mountain Vibes in the Pioneer League.
In his regular job, Chris is a senior sports producer for KRDO News Radio 105.5 FM,
1240 AM, and 92.5 FM (south of Monument Hill), since 1995. He is currently a studio producer
and intermission host during Colorado College Hockey games in the fall and winter, along with
producing syndicated NFL and College Football games.
During the spring and summer off-seasons, Chris loves to travel throughout the country,
visiting various major league, minor league, and independent league baseball parks. That
bucket list includes visiting 28 of the 30 current MLB parks, 28 of 30 current Triple-A parks, 26
of 30 current Double-A parks, 23 of 30 current High-A parks, 25 of 29 current Low-A parks,
along with 26 of the 46 current independent “partner league” parks
