Kurt Wells is Vice President on the Board of Directors of SABR’s Rocky Mountain chapter. He’s had a lifelong passion for baseball and loves the social interaction with other baseball fans that being involved with SABR provides to him. In the late 1980’s, he co-hosted a Denver radio sports talk show, promoting bringing major league baseball to Denver. Kurt was subsequently appointed as a loaned executive to the Colorado Baseball Commission to support the efforts in the award of the Colorado Rockies franchise. Mr. Wells has hosted 14 Colorado Rockies players staying in his home from 2001 to 2013, including Matt Holliday, Clint Barmes and Charlie Blackmon. Kurt received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Regis University. He has spent many satisfying years working in corporate finance. He also loves spending time with his wife, three children, and two grandchildren. Kurt also enjoys performing live solo shows playing guitar and singing.
