Dan Evans

At-Large

A former Los Angeles Dodgers General Manager, Dan Evans has had
decision-making roles with five MLB franchises and has also spent time as the
CEO of a player representation firm.
Evans’ winning percentage was the 2nd-best mark for any General Manager in
Los Angeles Dodgers history, and he assembled MLB’s best bullpen since World
War II per Fan Graphs evaluation. Oversaw two of the most productive
consecutive drafts in MLB history. Orchestrated Dodger franchise transformation
that had sunk to an overall rating of 28th among MLB by rebuilding the
organization’s scouting & player development departments to secure the #1 spot
just two years later.

A pioneer in the use of technology & video analysis within baseball, Evans is in
his second term as SABR National Board of Director and is the former President
of the SABR Rocky Mountain Chapter. In addition, he offers baseball consulting,
mentors Sports Management Worldwide’s “Baseball GM & Scouting” online
course (10th year), and leads the baseball division of Athelytix.
